Using a gopro instead of a large dslr

I want to build a small Booth. To do this i want to use a gopro with a LED Light.

the app is almost perfect. but the business policy is unfortunately unprofessional. I bought a long time ago pro version to integrate the inclusive option own templates. after a few updates which is now no longer possible. therefore been taken from me something that I paid. that’s about as if I sell you a car and come after some time and you the ausbaue steering wheel. would you like that?
I expect that I can use the things that I pay too !!!

Support for GoPro
Havent tried this yet, but would like to use my GoPro Hero3 rather than my 70D as Hero is less fragile. My goal is a turnkey unit using inexpensive 7″ Android 5 device
Couldnt find any references about compatibility with the GoPro but will start experimenting.
Button interface
I think it should be a way to lock the button after pressing it. To prevent a kid or a guesst to press it a second time and stop the count
Ability to save and retrieve settings via multiple “profiles”
If multiple “configuration profiles” were supported, we could
“SAVE” (with meaningful name) a file with all the current settings
“RETRIEVE” (by profile filename) all the previously saved settings
This would allow easy capture and re-use of settings for repetitive events, or starting point for events with similar characteristics. For instance, I may want one configuration, count-down, start text for a “1 opening” template…and a different configuration, count-down, start text for a 3 or 4 opening template.
Portrait Mode
I would love to experiment with a portrait mode feature that would allow me to rotate my camera and tablet 90 degrees to take, display, and print photos in a portrait orientation.
Option for short vibration after pushing the Button
Vibrate short, for maybe 0.5 seconds, when people press the button to make a photo.
Need to recognize the vibration and use it as a trigger for another electronic circuit that should run while the countdown counts down.
